Seven Fallacies About Cyberstalking Seven Fallacies About Cyberstalking HOT

Abstract: There Is a commonly held view that cyberstalking represents nothing more than an additional behaviour that can be associated with offline stalking. This paper challenges that view by arguing that cyberstalking is an entirely new form of deviant behaviour. Although related to affine stalking, it is possible to distinguish cyberstalking as a distinct form of harassment by considering various factors, such as the motivation behind the harassment. This paper discusses seven areas where differences between cyberstalking and stalking can be clearly demonstrated.
